PMB Registration Workflow Overview
Utilising a Prescribed Minimum Benefit Registration Workflow simplifies the process of enrolling a Patient for entitled benefits when they have a specific medical condition. These benefits guarantee the Patient's access to vital medical care. Medical Aids are required by law to cover specific medical conditions regardless of the coverage or plan that the Patient has. Enrolling a Patient for a PMB condition ensures automatic access to the essential medical care and treatments related to their condition.
Using the suggested workflow will assist the Practice to streamline the process of how Patients are registered for PMB conditions and also to easily maintain the PMB status of the Patient.

- Step 1: Add a Smart Sticker protocol to the Patient: PMB Condition
- Step 2: Submit the Relevant Documents to the Medical Aid
- Step 3: Change the Status of the Smart Sticker Protocol
Step 1: Add a Smart protocol to the Patient: PMB Condition
You are able to set up the Smart Sticker protocol so that when the ICD10 code is added to the Patient they will automatically be added to the Registered PMB Condition Smart Sticker Protocol. For more information regarding the setup of the PMB Condition protocol, please refer to the user manual:

.- The relevant person in the Practice will register the Patient for the Smart Sticker Protocol: Register PMB Condition.

Step 2: Submit the Relevant Documents to the Medical Aid
- Using the PDF Print Over Workflow Event, forms will be automatically filled in using the placeholders that have been set up on the document of the relevant Medical Aid.
- Once the form has been generated with the Patients' information, the forms can be submitted to the relevant Medical Aid using an Email template.

Step 3: Change the Status of the Smart Sticker Protocol
Once the Registration has been submitted to the Medical Aid or feedback has been received the status of the PMB Smart Sticker Protocol will be changed to indicate the current status in the workflow. The Status will either change automatically or need to be changed manually depending on the setup of each status.
- When the end of the timeframe is reached or a certain step in the workflow is completed the status will update or need to be updated accordingly.

- The PMB Smart Sticker will be updated accordingly.
