How to Use the General History Subpanel
Any information regarding past illnesses, operations, family illnesses, tests, and results of the Patient can be found within the General History panel. Knowing a Patient's General History could play an important part in future diagnoses as well as treatment methods.
To make note of the Patient's General History, the user will need to open a General Examination form. For more information regarding the General Examination Form, please refer to the User Manual: General Examination Overview.
- The contents of this user manual will consist of the following:
- General Health
- Smoking
- Alcohol
- Exercise
- Recreational Drugs
- Family History
- The General History panel consists of 2 different sections. General Health and Family History.
General Health
The General Health panel covers basic questions such as how much the Patient smokes, consumes alcohol or recreational drugs, as well as how much exercise is performed weekly by the Patient.
Smoking
- Click on the Smoking (per day) drop-down menu to select the option relevant to the Patient.
- A free text field is available to the right of the drop-down menu, to allow the user to make additional notes.
Alcohol
- Click on the Alcohol (per week) drop-down menu to select the option relevant to the Patient.
- A free text field is available to the right of the drop-down menu, to allow the user to make additional notes.
Exercise
- Click on the Exercise (per week) drop-down menu to select the option relevant to the Patient.
- A free text field is available to the right of the drop-down menu, to allow the user to make additional notes.
Recreational Drugs
- Click on the Recreational Drugs drop-down menu to select the option relevant to the Patient.
- A free text field is available to the right of the drop-down menu, to allow the user to make additional notes.

- General Notes is a free text field that can be used by the Practitioner to make any notes for future reference.
- Important Message is a free text field that can be used by the Practitioner to make any notes of higher importance for future reference.
Family History
The Family History panel contains checkboxes containing an extensive list of various hereditary diseases, which is considered a disease that is carried over from one generation to the next.
- Click on the Family History panel to expand it.
- The Family History panel will open.
- Tick on any of the checkboxes relevant to the Patient.
- The selected diseases will each gain a text box.
- The selected disease's free text field can be used by the Practitioner to add any additional notes.
- Click on the Close button to exit the Clinical Case screen without saving.

- Click on the Save and Close drop-up arrow for more options:

- Click on the Save button to save the information captured on the form.
- Click on the Save Lines To New Macro button to save the lines captured as a Macro.
- Click on Save and Close to save the form or the changes made.
