Pathology Result

Business Requirement:

  • Pathology is the study of the causes and effects of diseases or injury. 
  • GoodX can integrate with Pathologists such as Ampath, Lancet, Pathcare and Vermaak & partners to send a Pathology Request electronically to have a certain problem/disease tested and to get the blood works/test results back electronically. 
  • If the doctor wants to use the Pathology function, it needs to be set up in Settings first:
    • Settings >> Entity Settings >> Pathology

How and Where to view the Pathology Results:

  • From the Diary screen click on TASKS

  • Task Screen will open:
  • All new Pathology Results will always be under Tasks (in this way the Doctor will see there are new results available)
TAKE NOTE: The results will also be saved under the Debtors Account (Clinical History)


  • Under "New" click on the PATHOLOGY RESULTS to open the Results


The Results will open:
  • Pathology Requests: The Request that was sent to the Lab for the tests (See link for reference Pathology Requests
  • Pathology Report Result: The Report the Lab sends back to the Doctor with the Results
  • Pathology Interpretation and Plan: The treatment plan/notes/conclusion that the Doctor can complete after seeing the Results


  • Click on Pathology Report Results. The Pathology results will open under Test Results.


  • If you click on Pathology Interpretation and Plan the Doctor can complete the note with a conclusion/treatment plan after seeing the Results


  • The Pathology Results can also be viewed on the Debtors Account.
  • Click on Debtors >> Select the specific Debtor / Patient and click on Clinical History on the Sidebar OR 


  • Under Task, on the Pathology results, you can view the Clinical History by clicking on the little Medical History button.

  • Tasks >> Pathology results >> Medical History button >> Clinical History screen
