Emergency Appointments (Existing Patient)

An emergency is a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous medical situation requiring immediate action.

The Patient needs attention immediately. This indication assists the medical practitioner to know who to help first.

  • Log in to the GoodX Web App with your username and password.
  • From the taskbar, select New Booking.


  • Or double click on a timeslot to create a booking.


  • The Add/Edit booking screen will appear. Complete the correct information
  • From the Booking Type drop-down, click on Emergency,  this will depend on the setup per practice.


  • To complete the information, click on Book Existing Patient for an example.
  • Search for the correct patient and ensure that the information is correct.


  • Complete the Debtor Details if the patient doesn't have a file yet. Click on the Express booking for a normal patient to see how to complete the form correctly.
  • Click on Book New Patient to see how to book an appointment for a new patient.
  • Click on the Save button to save the information.

  • Click on the Close button to exit without saving.


  • The booking status will automatically change to Arrived, depending on your practice setup.
  • On the booking, it will show that it is an Emergency patient.
