Why Use This Function:

An SMS (Short Message Service) is a text-based communication method that allows short messages to be sent between mobile phones or from a computer/handheld device to a mobile phone using a cellular network.

In GoodX, authorised users can send SMS messages to Debtors/Patients. The system also enables hospitals and practices to deliver relevant information to Debtors/Patients via SMS. Users may create reusable SMS Templates within the GoodX platform to ensure consistent and efficient communication.


  • Click on the SMS button.

  • The Reminder SMS - Add/Edit Workflow Event screen will open



  • Click the Contact Number field and enter the relevant information, or select the relevant option from the drop-down menu.

?Please Note: The Contact Number field will be filled automatically with the contact number of the Debtor in the Debtor's file.


  • Send Now: Indicates that the SMS will be sent immediately after clicking the Send button. The Send Now checkbox will be checked by default.

  • Uncheck the Send Now checkbox to schedule a different date or time when the SMS will be sent to the desired recipient.


  • The Send Date and Send Time fields will appear.


  • Click on the Send Date field to open the date picker.


  • The date picker will open, where you can select the applicable date on which the SMS is to be sent.


  • Alternatively, Click on the Today button to select the current date.


  • Click on the Send Time button to open the time picker.


  • The date picker will open, where you can select the applicable time on which the SMS is to be sent.


  • Alternatively, Click on the Now button to select the current time.


  • Click on the Message textbox, and Type in the message that will be sent.


?Please Note: The characters used in the message under the Message textbox will indicate how many characters you have left to type the SMS. The max amount of characters an SMS can consist of is 459.
