Book Walk-in Patient (Existing Patient)
The patient has an electronic file at the practice but does not have an appointment for that day and time.
The patient is a walk-in patient and will be marked as arrived when the patient is put on the electronic diary because the patient is already at the practice.
This type of booking can also be made on the web, depending on how your types have been set up.
- Log in to the GoodX Web App with your username and password.
- From the Diary screen, in the top right corner, click on the New booking button or double click on a timeslot.

- The Add/Edit booking screen will appear.

- Change the booking type to Walk-in. Please refer to the Booking Type Setup link for more information on how to set up your booking types.

- The booking Status will automatically change to Arrived.

- Ensure that the following information is correct:
- Diary: Ensure that you have the correct diary, this must be the diary of the doctor that the patient wants to see.
- Type: From the drop-down, you have already select Walk-in.
- Status: The system will automatically change the appointment as Arrived because the patient is standing in front of you.
- Location: From the drop-down, you have options, because the patient is standing in front of you, it will be set as None.
- Date: Ensure that you are on the current date.
- Time: Ensure that you are at the current time.
- Duration: Set by default 15 min, you are able to change the duration.
- Treating Doctor: Search for the correct treating doctor.
- Reason: This is a free text field where you can enter the reason given by the patient for the appointment.
- Service Centre: From the drop-down, you are able to select the applicable centre.
- CRM: You can ask the patient how did they hear about your practice and select the applicable answer from the drop-down.
- Search for the correct Debtor in the Debtor search field.

- The Debtor Details will appear. Ensure that the information is correct.

- Click on the Close button to exit without saving.

- Click once on the Save button to save the booking.

- The walk-in patient will appear on the Diary.
