Pathology

Entity Settings are set per Entity and not per user to customize the program to the specific needs of the Practice. The entity settings will determine how functions are set up and work per entity.

Pathology is there for conducting and overseeing laboratory tests on body fluids, such as bloodwork etc. GoodX is integrated with the main Pathologists in South Africa, this way it will be convenient for Doctors to send and receive the Patients Pathology tests and results electronically on the system.

TAKE NOTE: NONE of the Pathology will be set up by the Client. Your Support FCL and someone from the technical department at GoodX will set up the Pathology for the Practice and/or the Practitioners.

To access the Settings:

  • From the Diary screen, click on the Settings button in the top right corner.

  • Click on Entity Settings

  • Click on the Pathology Panel.
  • Add Pathology Provider: this is the main pathology providers that GoodX is integrated within South Africa namely Ampath, Lancet, Pathcare and Vermaak and Vennote.

    • Auto close incoming tasks: this will automatically close the pathology results when it's imported into the tasks and not notify the Doctor of new results by creating a new task.
    • Create tasks as unassigned: this option will import the pathology results into the task but not assign it to anyone in the Practice. The receptionist (for example) can then assign it to a specific user in the Practice.
    • Default user to assign tasks to: this option will allow you to choose a default user to assign the pathology tasks to. When the new results get imported it will immediately display under the assigned user's tasks.
    • Display pathology tasks on diary: this option will display all the pathology tasks on the diary (this will allow the doctor to see the new results that came through). The Doctor can create a separate Diary for the tasks if he/she doesn't want it to appear in between the normal bookings.
    • Default diary to display tasks on: you can set a default diary to display the pathology tasks on. Either the Doctors diary or a diary that's created specifically for the pathology results.
    • Minimum priority to display: this option will allow you to choose what tasks to display according to their priority set eg. Unknown, Low, Normal, High or Very Urgent. You can link a colour to a priority example for a Normal task (GREEN) or for an Abnormal task (RED) so that the Doctor is aware to give immediate attention.
