Booking Status Change Actions (Perform an action in respose to a booking status change)



Diary Settings are set per Diary to customize the program to the specific needs of the Practitioner in their Practice.
If a Practice has multiple Diaries, every diary and the diary settings need to be set up for that specific Practitioners needs. 

Status Change actions will assist so that certain actions can be linked to different statuses. When the status is changed and the action is linked to the status, the system will bring up the action that needs to be done depending on the settings. For example, the Treated status can be linked to the Invoice screen, as soon as the Practitioner change the Status to Treated the Invoice screen can popup and ensure the Practitioner create the invoice on the patient's account.

To access the Settings:
  • From the Diary screen, click on the Settings button in the top right corner.


  • Click on Diary Settings.


  • Click on the Booking Status Change Actions Panel.
  • Status: The status is the situation of the booking at a particular time during the booking process eg. Booked / Arrived / Treated / Ready / Done. When you enable the popup it will automatically pop up once a certain status was selected.
  • Action: An action can be set as soon as the booking hits a certain status, for example, if the booking status is changed to arrived the action can force the user to add the patient as a debtor. When you enable the popup it will automatically pop up once a certain status was selected.
  • Popup: This option will pop up the action (Add Debtor, Validate Patient etc.) that is chosen for that specific booking status. If this action is disabled the system will automatically create its own action. The system will create its own debtor

  • You can link an Action to a Status. Click on the drop-down menu in the Action field to see the available options to link. As soon as the status change and there's an action linked it will pop up the specific action screen.
    • None: This action will stay blank and not link any actions.
    • Add Debtor: This action will pop up the Add Debtor screen where you can open the Debtor on the system.
    • Validate Patient: This action will pop up the validation screen to validate the patient details.
    • Create Invoice: This action will pop up the Invoice screen where you can bill the patient for services rendered.
    • Create Receipt: This action will pop up the Receipt screen where you can do a receipt after the Patient made payment.
    • Open Clinical: This action will pop up the Clinical screen where you can complete the Clinical Notes for the Patient such as General Examination, Scripts, Sick Note etc.

  • Click on Save to save the new Settings.


  • Click on Close to exit the Settings screen without saving.
