Script Line Macros
Billing Settings are set per Entity to customize the program to the specific needs of the Practice. The purpose of the Billing settings is to set up the billing-related settings for the Practice to make their billing experience quick and easy by using pre-setup Macro's, Clinical Procedures and Script Macros.
Script Line Macros:
- Script line macros are a combination/list of medication prescribed together on a regular basis that is saved as a favourite for fast and easy scripting of those items in the future. (These Macros can also be set up directly from the script screen).
To access the Settings:
- From the Diary screen, click on the Settings button in the top right corner.
- Click on Billing Settings.
TAKE NOTE: The Dental Billing Settings will ONLY appear on the Dental Entity. It will not be visible on ANY other entity.
- Click on the Script Line Macros Panel.
- (+) Add New Macro: this button will open a 'New Macro'. You can then complete the required details to add a New Script line Macro to the list.
- Import Template: still in development.
- Code: This is the unique code that will be used when using the macro. The Doctor can set any shortcut code here to make it easy to use the macro. Example, URTI for an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. Anything that the Doctor prefers.
- Description: This is the description (name) of the macro (the macro can be searched for with the code or description). The description will be the name of the macro, for example, Upper Respiratory Tract Infection.
- Treating Doctor: If only ONE specific doctor will use the specific macro, set the default doctor for this macro. If all the Doctors in the Practice uses the Macro's, leave it by default on 'All Treating Doctors'.
- Diagnosis: Choose the diagnosis for the specific condition that you are creating the macro for. The diagnosis could also be left blank as the ICD10 code could be chosen on the Script Screen.
- Medication: Choose the medication that you regularly prescribe for the specific macro's condition.
- Dosage: The amount of a medicine or drug that the patient takes or should take.
- Route: The path by which a drug or substance is taken into the body.
- Frequency: The number of times the medication should be taken daily.
- Days Supplied: The number of days that the drug should be taken.
- Total Quantity: The total quantity of medicine that should be dispensed.
- Time of Day: This is the time of day that the medicine should be taken.
- Meal Relationship: Should the medication be taken before meals, after meals, on an empty stomach, etc.
- Repeat: Should the item be repeated.
- Directions: The directions for how the drug should be taken. This will automatically be completed if you select the Time of Day, Meal Relationship and Repeat options.
- (+) Add Script Item: this button will add another new line to add more script items to the Macro that you are creating.
- As soon as a New Macro is saved, it will be available under the 'Global Macros' panel.
- When the Treating Doctor is changed to the specific Doctor, the Macro will immediately be removed from the 'Global Macros' panel and move to the 'Other Macros' panel.
- When searching and selecting the Treating Doctors name from the search field, the Macros that are saved on his name will immediately appear under the 'Other Macros' panel.
- Script Item Favourites: Script Item Favourites are single script items that are prescribed on a regular basis that is saved as an item favourite for fast and easy scripting of those items in the future. (These Script Item Favourites could also be saved directly from the script screen by clicking on the green heart button next to the item on the script screen).
- Click on Save to save the new Settings.
- Click on Close to exit the Settings screen without saving.
