Use of the Sidebar in the Diary

The Sidebar enables a user to see at a glance the following widgets for a booked Patient:


The widgets provide quick access to the following Information.

Patient Info:

  • Displays the patient demographic information.
  • Police car for outstanding accounts.
  • Ambulance for an emergency .
  • An SMS and an E-mail can also be sent to the patient or debtor from this screen.
  • A Statement can be sent to the patient or debtor via e-mail. 
  • Patient validations can be done here as well. 

Patient information

Editable Values:

  • The Reason for Appointment, Appointment Type and Service Centre can be changed on this screen.
  • Depending on the client speciality this field can be used to indicate if the benefits were confirmed and to indicate any authorisation numbers that will be used for procedures.
  • Can also be used to indicate any specific scenarios for the patient, for example, waiting for X-Rays or serious allergies.

Clinical Shortcuts:

  • Click on the icons to view the Clinical Patient Information, Patient Estimates, Patient Summary Sheet, etc. 


Financial:

  • The latest Financial Information of the Patient is displayed on this screen.


Waiting List:

  • The columns in the Waiting List can be selected in User Preferences under the Diary View tab.
  • The Waiting List is used when a patient wants to book an appointment, but the Diary is already fully booked.
  • The patient is then placed on the Waiting List with a request date and can be booked as soon as a time slot becomes available.
  • Right click on the Waiting List to Add an entry.

  • Book a New or Existing Patient, select the Date Requested, Priority, Notes and Requested Doctor, and click Post.

  • To book the Appointment on the Diary, highlight the specific time slot, right click on the patient booked on the Waiting List and select Book Appointment.
