User Preference: Diary view

User preferences are set per user to customize the program to the specific needs of the user. 

The user can set the following:

  1. The type of screens to be used.
  2. The layout of the screens.
  3. The type of system functions to be used.
  4. The way the user will search for data on the system.
  5. The layout of the diary.

  • Access the preferences from Every Module in the Desktop App
  • The User Preferences can be found in the same place from every module
Diary View Tab 

  • Sign in to the GoodX Desktop using your GoodX username and password.
  • From the Navigator Double Click on the Diary Module. 



  • From the Menu bar, Click on Program.
  • Click on User Preferences. 

  • The User Preference screen will open. 
  • Click on the Diary View Tab. 

  • Show diary Information bar:  When the checkbox has been ticked, it enables the Sidebar

  • Diary Infomation bar Widgets: This shows which widgets will be displayed on the Sidebar when the check box is ticked.
    • Patient Info: Gives a summary of the patients' information that has been selected, by clicking on them in the side panel of the diary. 

        • Editable values: These options can be changed directly from the sidebar after the booking has been made if any of the information needs to be changed.
            • Reason for Appointment: The reason why the patient would like to consult with the doctor.  
            • Appointment type: What type of appointment it is eg. Follow-Up, Consultation etc (depending on the type of appointments the practice offers. 
            • Service Centre: Where this appointment takes place eg. Rooms, Hospital etc (depending on the different locations the practice has. 

        • Clinical Shortcuts: Shortcuts will be displayed here for easy access to the options that have been set up.
          • Click on the items to view.
            • Clinical Patient Information: Opens the clinical Information summary screen. 
            • Patient Estimates: Opens the Patient Estimate summary screen. 
            • Patient Summary Sheet: Opens the Patient Summary Sheet with a summary of the patients' allergies, Medical History and Family History. 
            • Do MailMerge: Allows a Document template to be uploaded. Mail Merge is a feature that incorporates data from both Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and allows multiple documents to be created at once, such as letters, saving time and effort of retyping the same letter over and over. 
            • Patient Documents: Opens the Document Manager screen where patient documents can be uploaded and accessed. 

        • Tasklist: Displays the current Tasklist, only if a task has been linked to the specific patient has been selected eg. Follow-up on outstanding payments, schedule a follow-up appointment, Patient requested a new chronic script etc.


        • Financial: All the information regarding the patients' financials. 


          • Stat: 1. Outstanding Amounts: All amounts owed by the patient: Total Outstanding, Medical Aid Outstanding, Patient Outstanding. 
          • Stat: 2. Last Transactions: Shows the dates of the last transactions for the patient: Last Turnover Date, Last Cashflow date and  Last Journal Date. 
          • Stat: 3. Age(MedAid/Patient): Shows the ages of the outstanding amounts. 
        • Clinical: Shows the information gathered from the patients' clinical history pertaining to Allergies, Chronic Conditions and Chronic Medications the patient is on. 

        • Waiting List: This shows that a patient requires a booking and that they have been put on the Waiting list. 


      • Enable Waiting List: Enables the user to have a waiting list for patients who require a booking, but the diary is full. 


      • The waiting list can be found on the Main Diary Page's Toolbar. 


      • Right Click in the Waiting List for waiting list options, see the user manual for an extensive explanation of how it works: Waiting List. 

      • Click on OK when satisfied with settings to save.

       

      • Click on Cancel to close the screen or cancel, this won't save any of the settings.
