Copy Debtor to another Medical Aid
If you have more than one Entity on GoodX you can Copy a Debtor to another Entity or New Medical Aid. This can happen in the following scenarios:
- The parents are divorced and either one of them goes onto their own Medical Aid
- The child is above 18 years of age and goes onto their own Medical Aid
- The man/woman passes away and the dependant becomes the Main Member of the Medical Aid
- The patient sees a new Doctor at the same establishment who is on another entity
Open your MedDebs screen
- Click on Admittance
- Click on Options or press F8
- Select the 'Copy Debtor to another Entity' from the drop-down menu OR 'Copy Debtor - Medical Aid' if only their Medical Aid changed.
TAKE NOTE: For this Manual, we will Copy the Debtor to another Entity.
- Choose the Entity that you want to Copy the Debtor to from the dropdown menu.
- File Number = Old Acc No: You can tick this box if you want the old account number (Deb6) to be the new File number when you copy the debtor to the new entity. This will help to refer back to the patient's old file if necessary.
- Select OK or press F2
- There will be a pop-up message to confirm if you want to Copy the "Notebook" (all notes made on the file) too
- Select "Yes / No"
- The Debtor will now be Copied to the selected/new Entity. The pop-up message will display the old account number and the new account number for the new entity.
- Click on OK to Exit
TAKE NOTE: When a debtor was created and imported via myGC and this debtor is copied to a NEW entity, the system will copy the myGC-ID to the new entity when the 'Copy Debtor to another entity' function is used. After the action, the newly created debtor/patient should have the original myGC-ID values.
