Task list

The tasklist is used to assign tasks for personnel in the Practice and keep track if the tasks were done.

User Preference, General Tab can be set up to Always display when you open a module, or Only if you have Tasks or Never or Only my tasks for the current entity.

To view your task list:

Click on the Task List button on the Diary module screen:

When the Tasklist function has opened,  the default will be "My Tasks" that will display all the user who is logged into GoodX all the Tasks that is not yet completed and assign to the user:

To view all the Tasks the view options can be changed to "All my tasks", this will include the tasks that were marked as done.

To view, only the tasks that the user have delegated choose the option "Tasks I have delegated". The tasks that the user has delegated to another user must also be followed up to make sure that the other user did the work as requested.

This Entity only - Will display only the entity the user is logged in and not other entities if there is more than one entity.

The list of Tasks can be printed with the Print button.

Continue button will take you back to the Module screen.

To create a New Task:

Click on the New Task Button.

The New Task screen will open:

Requested by - The user who created the Task.

Responsible - The user that must complete the Task. The user can be select from the dropdown list by clicking on the arrow. Only users that are created on GoodX will be able to receive tasks.

Urgency - There are 3 urgencies that can be chosen, Low, Medium or High depending on the urgency the task must be completed.

Due Date - The date the Task must be completed or Done before this date. The Date can be selected from the drop-down arrow.

Date captured - When the task was created date and time.

Status - The status of the Task is:

  • New - When the task is new and nobody has started working on the task.
  • Busy - When the user is busy with the task.
  • Completed - When the task is finished and done.
  • Delegated - When the user wants to delegate the task to someone else to complete after the task was assigned to you.

Instructions - The instructions or information that the task needs. What the user must do to complete the task.

Sign off notes - When the task has been completed, the information that was received for completing the Task can be filled in the Sign off notes.

Cancel - To cancel the Task before the task is saved or to cancel any changes that were made before saving.

Save and Exit - Save a New Task or any changes that were made on the Task and exit to the List of all the Tasks.


To Edit, Delicate or Complete a Task:

To edit or complete the Task double click on the task from the Task list screen.

The Task screen will open, change the details or choose the status as Completed and save the task.

In the task screen, the status bar is used to manage tasks. In the status bar, a task can be marked to "Busy", delegated to another user, or marked as "Completed". When a task is completed, a sign of note can be added to indicate how the task was completed. If the task was linked to a specific debtor the task will make a note in the notebook.
