Add an Employer


Adding an employer's details to the debtor's account will allow the user to see for whom the debtor works, this information is used for Debt Collection and is compulsory when an IOD debtor is created. The Employers will be added to a list where the user is able to add new Employers and edit the existing ones. 

  • Log in to the GoodX Desktop App with your username and password.
  • From the Navigator, Double Click on the Med debs Module


  • The Debtor Manager screen will open.


  • Click on the Lists Menu from the menu bar.


  • The Lists drop menu will open.


  • Click on Employers.


  • The  Employers screen will open.


    • Click on the + (Add) button to Add an Employer


    • Complete all the required information.


    • The Fields on the Screen will be explained below: 
      • CodeA code is a combination of numbers or letters that are put together to identify a certain object in an exclusive way. The user will be able to choose their own code.
      • Name: The full names of the Employer as stated on their CIPC registration documents.
      • Initials: The abbreviation of the Employer's name. The field will be completed automatically once the first names are entered.
      • Address: A permanent place of business, where the Employer can be found. 
      • Postal code: A unique set of numbers and letters that assists the Postal Service in delivering mail.
      • VAT Number: A special 10-digit number is used to identify an individual or organisation as a registered VAT vendor.
      • Registration No: An exclusive number that a company received after the business/practice has been registered.  All companies need a registration number to operate as a business. The registration number will be given by CIPC to the business owners.
      • Contact Person: An individual designated as a communication or liaison point for a specific company, group, or event is known as a contact person. Typically, their responsibilities include responding to questions, communicating information, and helping with any requirements or requests pertaining to their speciality.
      • Telephone: A landline number that can be dialled in order to reach the Employer. 
      • Cell Number: The cellular or mobile number of the Employer. Cellphone numbers need to have at least 10 digits to be valid.
      • FAX Number: A number where facsimile documents can be sent to the Employer by use of a fax machine. 
    • The Employer screen once the user is done.


    • Click on the Cancel button to cancel and exit the Employers screen.


    • Click on the OK button to save the Employer.


    • The Added Employer will show on the Employer screen.
