Introduction to WCA and RMA

• Compensation Fund (WCA.) and Rand Mutual (RMA) are the only two Injury on duty (IOD) funds that can be submitted with GoodX Switch.
  
• For the claim to be submitted the claim must be registered with the WCA or RMA. If the claim is not registered the EDI will not go through. For RMA a claim number check is performed and only the claim part and not the employer part needs to be submitted.
  
• It is the employer's responsibility to register the claim on the website (umehluko.labour.gov.za) and the first attending doctor's to hand in the first medical report.
• Most of the employer's registration number will be in this format: 9900 0055 0235. Please note that this is not the claim number. 

Capturing the IOD claim

• The Debtor type must be IOD
  
• All the fields in the red is important in the picture below.

WCA Claim numbers

• You can look up WCA Claim numbers on their website (umehluko.labour.gov.za). You can easily  register your own login.
  
• All IOD claims with an IOD date from 2013 should be on the new website, if the claim is older you might find the claim number on the Department of Labour's old website.
  
• The new claim numbers, if the claim is accepted, will be in a format of G/329696/2/002468430/14/EMP. If the claim is accepted you can submit the claim with the full claim number. If the claim number is not accepted the claim number will be in the following format G/329696/2/002468430/14/??? in this case the claim will not go though with that claim number, but you can submit the claim with the event number 329696 (G/329696/2/002468430/14/EMP). 
  
• After the claim has been submitted you can go check on the website in a month or so if the claim is on the website but please note that the claim that has not been accepted will not display on the website until it has been accepted.
  
• The medical aid and commissioner option on GoodX is the Compensation Commissioner and not Workman's Compensation. 

RMA Claim Numbers

• The RMA claim numbers are in the same format as the WCA: M/1387617/1/428A/14/EMP but to submit this claim you only have to type in the claim number as M/1387617/1
  

Common Rejections.

• Member unknown: Check member number
  
• Old version: Make sure your Debtor type is IOD and retype the IOD date.
