Auto Finalise Fixed Fee/Per Diem Case

Once a Patient has been discharged from the Hospital, the Hospital case will need to be finalised. Finalising a Fixed Fee/Per Diem case will automatically post all final transactions on the case, if set up to do so. 

Please Note: The setting to enable the automatic finalisation of a case will need to be activated in System Options before the system will post the final transactions. For more information regarding how to enable the setting, please refer to the user manual: System Options - Hospital.

Billing of the case will need to be completed and posted before the case can be finalised.

Please Note: In order to bill Fixed Fees they will need to be set up. For more information on how to set up the Fixed Fees Profiles, please refer to the user manuals: Fixed Fee Profiles and Fixed Fee Setup.

  • Log in to the GoodX Desktop using your GoodX username and password.
  • From the Navigator, Double Click on the Med Debs Module. 


  • The Debtor Manager screen will open.


  • Click on the Cases button on the Toolbar.


  • The Case Management screen will open. 


  • Double Click on the Fixed Fee/Per Diem case that needs to be finalised.


  • The Case Information screen will open.



Finalise Case

  • Click on the Finalise button.


  • The Finalise Case screen will open.


  • Checks will be done to make sure all the information that is needed to be able to finalise the case has been completed.
    • Click on the ... (ellipse) button to see what is still outstanding in order to finalise the case on items. For this example Fixed Fee Adjustment will be used.


      • The GoodX Med Debs pop-up will appear, to advise what is still required, to be able to finalise the case.
        • Click on the Ok button to close the pop-up.


Please Note: The Adjustment Amount transaction will be posted automatically, once the case is finalised.

  • Click on the Ok button to finalise the case and post the final invoice which includes the fixed fee adjustment.


  • The Case will be marked as finalised.



Account Query

  • Click on the Account (F9) button on the Case Management screen to see the automatic transaction that was posted when the case was finalised.


  • The Account Query screen will open. The fixed fee transaction will be posted, as indicated:



Statement

  • Click on the Statement (Ctrl+S) button on the Case Management screen.


    • When a Statement is generated, the Fixed Fee amount will reflect on the Statement.
