Invoicing: Clinical Management
The Clinical Management Booking Type will prevent the user from posting an Invoice on the Patient's Account. When the EMR Form is completed and the Patient is billed from the EMR Form, the Booking Type will trigger and change the Booking Type on the Appointment from Consultation to Clinical Management. The Clinical Management Booking will allow the user to Save an Estimate on the Patient's Account, but not to Post any Invoices.
Please Note: The Clinical Management Booking type will first need to be set up in order for the changes on the booking to take place and the EMR Form will need to be completed. Please Note: All EMR Form panels need to be filled in and completed before the user is able to access the Billing and Administration panels, as mentioned in the user manual: Clinical Management Types.
Post an Invoice on a Clinical Management Booking
The diagnosis and codes selected on the Billing and Administration section in the EMR Form will already be added to the Invoice and displayed on the Invoice Screen.- Click on the Invoice Details tab to view the Invoice that has just been created.

- The Invoice Details screen will open, with all the items that have been added to the EMR form as billed.

- Click on the Post Only drop-up button to open more Posting options.
- Post and Switch: Allows the user to save and send the invoice to the Medical Aid as a claim.
- Post (Await Response): Will post the invoice to the system and switch the claim to the medical aid and await a response from the medical aid to advise if the claim has been accepted or rejected.
- A Warning pop-up will appear, to advise the user that the booking type does not support invoicing. The user is not able to Post an Invoice on the Clinical Management Booking.
- Click on the Ok button to acknowledge the message and close the Warning pop-up.
- Click on the Close button to return to the Diary screen.
Post an Estimate on a Clinical Management Booking
The diagnosis and codes selected in the Billing and Administration section on the EMR Form will already be added to the Estimate Invoice. For more information regarding how to access and save an Estimate, please refer to the user manual: Estimates Create, View, Print and Email. - Click on the desired Patients booking on the Diary screen booking for the Sidebar to open.
- Click on the Account Details button on the Sidebar.
- The Account Details Screen will open.

- Click on the Estimate Invoices tab.
- Click on the View/Edit Estimate button.
- The Invoice Screen will open.
- Click on the Post Only drop-up button to open more Posting options. Click on one of the options to Post the Invoice to the Patient Account.

- A Warning pop-up will open, This booking type does not support invoicing. The user is not allowed to Post an Estimate/Invoice on the Clinical Management Booking.

- Click on Ok to close the Warning pop-up.

- The Invoice Screen will open again.

- Click on the Close button to exit the Invoice Screen without saving.

- Click on the Save and Close drop-up arrow for more options:

- Click on the Save button to save the information captured on the Invoice Screen.
- Click on the Save Lines To New Macro button to save the lines captured in the Invoice as a Macro.
- Click on Save and Close to save the Invoice or the changes made.
