Medical History Screen: Navigation and Use
Medical history provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive record of a Patient's past and present health conditions, treatments, and lifestyle factors, aiding in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

- Log in to the myGC App with your myGC username and password.
- The myGC Dashboard will open.
- Click/Tap on the Health tab on the Navigation Panel found on the left side of the screen.
- The Health screen will open.
- Click/Tap on the Medical History button.
- The Medical History screen, General tab will open.
General
The General tab covers basic questions such as how much the Patient smokes, consumes alcohol or recreational drugs, as well as how much exercise is performed weekly by the Patient.

Family
Family tab includes a list of hereditary diseases, which are illnesses that could be passed down through generations.

Allergies
Allergies can be categorised into three main classes: chemical allergies, drug allergies, and natural allergies. Chemical allergies arise from exposure to various chemicals. Drug allergies pertain to the groups of medications that a Patient cannot take due to allergic reactions, such as being unable to use penicillin if allergic. Natural allergies involve reactions to naturally occurring substances found in daily life, such as house dust or latex, and sometimes these substances are also present in medications.

Chronic
Capturing Chronic conditions helps in advising a Practitioner that the Patient has long-lasting illnesses and/or conditions.

Operations
The Operations tab allows for easy access and review of past procedures, facilitating better management and transparency between the Practitioner and Patient. The Operations tab provides users with a convenient way to log and track all operations performed, ensuring accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.

Treatments
The Treatments tab provides you with a convenient way to log and track all treatments performed, ensuring accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.

Occupation
The Occupation tab allows the Practitioner to record the Patient's employment history and will include both the current employment status and past employment history.

Vaccinations
Vaccinations are an important part of a Patient's health history and are especially recommended depending on the current health condition and lifestyle of the Patient. Keeping detailed, up to date records of the Patient's vaccination status can also assist the Practitioner with any future medical diagnoses.
