A

Access rights

Access rights are certain permissions given to computers or certain people to write, read or do any modifications in some computer files. When the doctor wants to see the clinical data, you or the entity in control of your personal information need to grant the doctor access rights to your information.

Add a Dependant to Main Member Profile

Dependants are additional people on the Main Member's account for which the Main Member is responsible. The Main Member is financially responsible for the settling of any outstanding fees and monthly payments to the Medical Aid. A Dependant could range from the Main Member's child, to an Adult Dependant for which the Main Member is financially responsible, such as an elderly parent.

Booking Types

Each doctor and practice can have different booking types set up for their practices for example General Consultation, Emergency consultation.  Booking types can then be shared with MyGC so when a patient makes a booking the different types for that specific doctor will be available to select (Depending on the setup)

Bookings

Bookings on myGC will allow a user to make a booking to schedule a visit with their preferred Practitioner, from the mygC app instead of calling the Practice to make a Booking. Past and Future Bookings can be viewed whilst the user is logged into the myGC app.

Claim and Verify Account with Mobile Number

A user is able to use their mobile number to claim and verify a grandXchange account. The user has the option to choose what type of verification they would like to use, which will be their personal preference. Using a mobile number to claim and verify a grandXchange account is quick and easy as the user will receive an SMS with a link. Users are more likely to have access to their mobile device on hand, which makes claiming and verifying their grandXchange account on the move possible without having to log in to their email account.


Clinical Documents

Clinical documents lay the foundations of a patient's medical records, and consist of medical history, previous diagnosis, treatments given, and even if a patient has been admitted to hospital.

Confirming Bookings with an SMS/Email Link

By confirming your Booking through the link sent to you via SMS/Email, you notify the Practitioner that you will be attending your scheduled appointment. This confirmation helps ensure that your slot is reserved, reduces the likelihood of missed appointments, and allows the Practitioner to prepare for your visit accordingly.

Consent Form

When a Patient's consent is required, the Practitioner is able to send an electronic Consent Form through the myGC App. This form can also be signed directly within the app, eliminating the need for printing and scanning documents and promoting a paperless Practice and process. Consent is a mutual agreement between two or more individuals, such as sharing sensitive information or performing a procedure. It covers both the Patient and Practitioner, ensuring both parties are aware of, and agree to the terms and conditions.

Consult

A doctor consults with a patient through a consultation, this can be done either in person, Telemed or via a phone call to repeat a script.
