Split Multi Quantity Invoice Lines into Single Line Items
Why Use This Function:
Splitting a Multi-Quantity Invoice Line into Single Line Items allows you to repeat the same Invoice Line up to 100 times on a single Invoice without manually capturing each entry. This is especially useful when you need to bill the same treatment, item, or procedure multiple times during a single visit.
With general billing, this improves transparency, enhancing stock control, and allowing you to add notes or modifiers to specific entries when needed. By itemising each repeat service, both the Practice and the Patient have a clear understanding of what was billed and why.
💡Please Note: This feature is particularly valuable in Pathology billing, where each test or sample often needs to be reflected as an individual line item for accuracy, auditing, and Medical Aid compliance. Many Medical Aids require itemised pathology charges, and splitting the lines helps prevent claim rejections and ensures that each test is clearly recorded.

- Enter the necessary ICD 10 Codes.
- Click on the Code field to add the Billing Code you want to bill.
- Click on the Qty field to enter the number of times that you would like to bill this Item.
- Click on the Repeat button.
💡Please Note: The Quantity needs to be more than 1 for the button to become available.
- An Attention! pop-up will open advising that the selected Item will be converted into Multiple Separate Lines.
- Click on the Ok button.
- The Line will now be Split into the number of Lines that you requested.
💡Please Note: The Quantity of each line will revert to one.
