GoodX Manage for Medical

The Duplicate Pricecollection With Mark-up allows the user to create a price directory for the new year while also adding a predefined markup given by the Practice. The markup is calculated on the current year's tariff amount and is only added to the tariff amount for the new year. The markup will be applied across all Medical Aids price lists and to all codes loaded for the practice, even the custom codes. A price directory is required for the user to be able to do billing for a new year. The options are beneficial to Practices with custom prices or that have custom codes. 

• Log in to the GoodX Desktop using your GoodX username and password.
• From the Navigator, Click on GoodX Manage.

• The GoodX Manager screen will open.

• Click on the Pricelist Management button on the toolbar to access the Pricelist Collections(PLC).

• The Pricelist Collection (PLC) screen will open.

• Double click on the desired Price List Collection (The following example will be used for this user manual: MP 014 GENERAL PRACTIONER).

• The List screen will open. 

• Click on the Update price lists button to open the Price Tool. 

• The GoodX Price Updating Tool screen will open.

• Click on the Save Collection to New Year and Relaunch button to access the drop-down menu.

• The Save Collection to New Year and Relaunch drop-down menu will open.

• Click on Simple duplication of this price collection in another year from the drop-down menu. 

• The Information pop-up will appear.

• The Information pop-up, informs the user of what will be copied over to the new year. Also inform the user if 0.00 was selected prices will not be modified, which means the prices will be the same as the current year.
• Information that will be duplicated: 
• RCFs (Relative Conversion Factor): Each unit has a distinct monetary worth depending on whether it is a clinical procedure unit, consultation unit, anaesthetic unit, and so on. Also referred to as the unit price.
• Custom prices: Prices or codes that are not registered with Medical Aids. Medical Aid approved prices that have been changed by the Practice. The Practice will request these codes and prices to be added.
• Contracts: Practice can sign an agreement with Medical Aids to charge specific amounts for consultations and procedures.
• Contract linking: If a Practice has any contracts the contract will have to be linked to the specific Medical Aid options. 
• Combinations: When procedure codes and stock items are frequently used together, you can create Combinations of these codes and items to help structure your invoicing. For more information on how to setup Combinations please refer to the user manual: Combinations (Protocols).

• Click on the No button to close and return to the GoodX Price Updating Tool screen, the collection will then not be copied to the new year.

• Click on the Yes button to continue.

• The Duplicate this price collection for year screen will open.

Please Note: The next year will automatically generate on this screen, however, the user can type in the desired year to copy the current price collection.

• Click on the Cancel button to exit the screen and return back to the main GoodX Price Updating Tool screen, the collection copy will then be cancelled.

• Click on the OK button to continue.

• The Markup screen will open.

• Click on the Markup for new year. (0.00 will not alter price) field to enter the numeric number to apply. 

• Click on the Cancel button to exit the Markup screen without saving and return back to the GoodX Price Updating Tool screen. 

• Click on the OK button to continue.

Please Note: The process will run for a few minutes.

• The GoodX Price Update Utility pop-up will appear. 

• The above screen is an indication the new price collection has now been created and will show the markup selected. 

• Click on the OK button to acknowledge the pop-up and continue.

• The GoodX Price Updating Tool screen for the new year will open.

• When the GoodX Price Updating Tool screen for the new year opens, the update will be completed and markup has been applied.

• Click on the Exit button to exit the GoodX Price Updating Tool screen and return to the List Entity screen.
