Invoicing: EMGuidance
EMGuidance is a mobile and web-based medicines and treatment platform for medical professionals. South Africa's most comprehensive, evidence-based medicines resource. This is an essential guideline to assist practitioners with prescribing accurately,
check contraindications and cautions, check medicine interactions, view suitable paediatric and adult dosages, adverse reactions and what the medication does.
Please Note: The Practitioners email address and practice number will need to be up to date on the system, to check and edit the email address please refer to the user manual: Treating Doctor Setup. An EMGuidance account will need to be set up in order to use this function, please visit their website to create an account: EMGuidance.
The EMGuidance feature from the invoice screen is typically used by Dispensing Practitioners that will bill Medicine Items.
- To create an Invoice and see where to access EMGuidance from the invoice screen please follow the steps on the user manual: The Invoice Screen.
- On the invoice screen:
- When a GMED item is billed the EMGuidance button will appear in the line.
- Click on the EMGuidance button.
- A new tab will open in the web browser and will redirect the user to the EMGuidance website.
- The Log In screen will open if the user has not previously logged in.
- If the user has previously logged into the EMGuidance website the Discover screen will open when the user clicks on the EMGuidance button as indicated above.
