Chronic Script Expiry: Naivgation and Use

Why Use This Function:

The Chronic Script Expiry feature is essential for tracking when long-term prescriptions are nearing their renewal date. This allows the Practice to proactively follow up with Patients and Practitioners, ensuring treatment continuity without delays. By using this function, users can easily view upcoming script expiries, streamline repeat prescription processes, and maintain accurate clinical records. Staying on top of these expiries helps the Practice provide consistent care while avoiding last-minute prescription issues or interruptions in medication schedules.

  • This user manual will start on the Clinical Reports tab, Clinical Review screen.


    • For more information on how to navigate to the Clinical Reports tab, please refer to the user manual: Reports Segment.

  • Click on the Chronic Script Expiry sub-tab.


  • The Chronic Script Expiry screen will open.


Filters
Filters are tools or functionalities that allow you to narrow down or refine the results displayed on the Pathology screen.

  • Click on the Search Patient by File no., Name, Surname, ID, Mobile or MA Scheme to enter the details of the Patient, whose Pathology Request/Results you are searching for.


💡Please Note: The Report will filter as you select the desired filter criteria. Not all fields are required to be filled in to search. The more information that is entered into the fields the more refined the search will be.

  • Click on the Active Ingredients field to enter the details of the Test you want to search for using the Test Code or Description.


  • Click on the From field to select the Script Age in months where your search will Start.


  • Click on the To field to select the Script Age in months where your search will End.


💡Please Note: If you are looking for a specific Date, the information in the From and To fields can be the same. These fields can also be entered manually using the yyyy-mm-dd format.

  • Click on the Clear Filter button to clear the Filters that have been set.



Columns
All the information on the Pathology screen is divided into Columns to logically group related information together.


  • Patient Name: The full name of the Patient for whom the Request was made.
  • Active Ingredients: The main ingredients in the medication.
  • Not Suitable: There is no substitute for the medication.
  • ICD10: The ICD10 code of the medication.
  • Script Age: How old the script is.
  • Dispensed: The number of times the script was dispensed to the Patient.
  • Adherence Support: Indicate if Health Window supported the Patient script.
  • Next Booking: The follow up date issued for the next follow up to refill the script.
  • Actions: Extra options that are available on each Request.

  • Click on the Call button to make a Call to the Patient.

  • Click on the SMS button to send a Text message to the Patient.

  • Click on the Email button to send an Email to the Patient.


    • For more information on how to send an Email, please refer to the user manual: Send an Email.

  • Click on the Task button to create a Task regarding the Pathology Request.


    • For more information on how to Create a Task, please refer to the user manual: Create A New Task.

  • Click on the View button to review the details of the original Pathology Request.



Page Options
All the additional options that are available for the page.


  • Click on the Previous button to Navigate to the Previous Page.


  • Click on the Page Number button to Navigate to the desired Page.


  • Click on the Next button to Navigate to the Next Page.


  • Click on the Items drop-down menu to select the Number of items that will be displayed on the screen.
