Stock Items List Screen: Navigation and Use

The Stock Item List screen provides an overview of the Types and Quantities of Stock available within your Practice. It displays all Categories of Stock, including Medicine, Materials, Consumables and more.

  • The contents of this user manual will consist of the following information:
    • Filter Sections
    • Screen Columns and Action Buttons
    • Columns
    • Page Options
      • Export to PDF
      • Export to CSV

  • This user manual will start on the Stock Setup, Stock Items screen.


  • An explanation will be given for each field and option on the Stock Items List screen.


Filter Sections

Filters are tools or functionalities that allow you to narrow down or refine the results displayed on the Stock Items List screen.



  • Click on the Description field to enter the Details of the Stock Item you are searching for. Only 3 characters are required before the results will start filtering.



  • Complete the Identifier field with the Identification Number of the Product or Item.



  • Complete the Code field with the Stock Code of the Product or Item.


Please Note: The Identifier and Code fields will contain the same information, as this is the Number used when Stock Take was done and loaded onto the system. 


  • Complete the Nappi Code of the Product or Item.



  • Enter the Sales Price in the From and To fields.



  • Complete the Pack Size field.



  • Enter the List Price in the From and To fields.



  • Click on the Schedule drop-down menu to open the drop-down list.

    • Select the Scheduled Type from the drop-down list.



  • Click on the Type drop-down menu to open the drop-down list.

    • Select the Type of Product or Item from the drop-down list.



  • Click on the Active Status drop-down menu to open the drop-down list.


    • Select the Current Status of the Product or Item from the drop-down list.


  • Click on the Update Results button to refresh the Report List after the Filters have been selected.



  • Click on the Reset Filters button to clear the Filters that have been set.




Screen Columns Action Buttons 

Several additional Options are available for the Columns. These additional Options are to help the User adjust the Report, refine the Search and give more specific results.


  • Click on the +Add New button to create a New Report.



  • Click on the Expand Widths button to auto-fit the Column Width to the information within all Columns.



  • Click on the Reset Widths button to restore the original Widths after any modifications were done.



  • Click on the Sort Colums button to Sort the Columns in the order that you desire.


  • Click on the Choose Columns button to select the Columns that will be displayed on the List.


  • Click on the Default Layout drop-down menu to select the Type of Layout that will be used for the screen.


Please Note: The Report screen only has the option to be displayed using the Default Layout and no other options are available for the Layout of the Report screen.


Columns 

All the information on the Report screen is divided into Columns to logically group related information together.


  • Identifier: The Code entered when the Stock Item was Received into the system.
  • Code: The Stock Item Code as supplied by MedPrax and IQest.
  • Description: Name of the Stock Item.
  • Nappi: The Nappi Code of the Stock Item.
  • Sales Price: The Current Price at which Stock Item is being sold.
  • Pack Size: The Size of the Packet in which the Stock Item is packed.
  • List Price: The Price of the Stock Item as received from MedPrax.
  • Schedule: The Schedule of the Stock Item.
  • Type: Indicating the Type of the Stock Item, whether it is Standard, Batch Tracking, Non Stock, Consignment or FIFO (First In First Out).
  • Active Status: Indicating the current Status of the Stock Item within the system, such as: Active, Inactive or No Sales.


Page Options

All the additional options that are available for the page.



  • Click on the Previous button to Navigate to the Previous Page.


  • Click on the Page Number button to Navigate to the desired page.


  • Click on the Next button to Navigate to the Next Page


  • Click on the Items drop-down menu to select the Number of items that will be displayed on the screen.


Export to PDF

The Stock Item List can be exported to a PDF Formal.

  • Click on the Export to PDF button to export the file to a PDF format.


  • The Stock Item List will open in a PDF format.


Please Note: The Stock Item List Report will take a while to generate, depending on the amount of Stock Items listed within the system.


Export to CSV

The Stock Item List can be exported to a CSV file should you wish to Print or Save to your computer or open the form in an Excel format.

  • Click on the Export to CSV button to export the file to Save or Print to your computer.


Please Note: In order to export to CSV, a file should be selected.
