Layout and CalculationsLayout and Calculations give the user explanations of the data that is available on a financial report. When reports are generated the data is divided into columns. The information within each column will relate to the header. The data is generated from the Settings and Parameters that the user has set up. Each financial report has calculations which is a mathematical equation used to determine the values that appear on the report.
Ledger AccountAll transactions must be posted to a ledger account in financial terms. A Ledger account is a financial book (or record) for collecting historical transaction data from a journal and organizing entries by account. Ledger account is summarized in sections, for example:

Letter EventCreating a Letter Event for Workflow Events allows the Practitioner to seamlessly integrate examination information into a Letter specifically designed for Referral purposes, by automatically populating all the relevant information onto the form. This allows for the efficient inclusion of relevant details from the examination, ensuring comprehensive and accurate communication when referring a Patient to another Healthcare Professional or Specialist. Using the Letter streamlines your referral process and eliminates the need for duplicate work.
Link & Unlink a DoctorLinking and unlinking a Practitioner establishes or removes the connection between a Practitioner’s profile in GoodX and their corresponding record in MediBase. This process ensures that Practitioner details remain synchronised across both systems. Practitioners who wish to access and use myGC must first be linked between GoodX and MediBase. MediBase is a comprehensive and up-to-date repository of healthcare Practitioners’ contact details and demographic information, helping maintain accuracy and consistency across platforms. Properly linking Practitioners enables seamless data integration, reducing manual data entry and ensuring that essential Practitioner information is always current.

Link Clinical DataLinking Clinical Data allows Clinical Data from a Patient’s original file to be linked to a newly created file, ensuring that the Patient’s clinical history remains intact and accessible without the need to recapture information. A new file is created when a Patient is no longer associated with the original Debtor under which the file was initially created. This will occur when the Patient moves to their own Medical Aid, gets married, is divorced, or when a Dependant moves to a different Medical Aid Scheme or option separate from the Main Member.

Link Referral Letters to TasksLinking Referral Letters to Tasks ensures that every Referral Letter received through the GoodX Web Communication segment is actioned correctly and never overlooked. When an external sender submits a Referral Letter to a Practitioner who uses the GoodX Web, the letter becomes available directly inside the Task Bar, allowing the Practice to manage it immediately within their existing workflow. Using this function creates a clear and reliable process for handling incoming Referral Letters. Instead of relying on separate systems, emails, or manual checks, the Referral Letter is automatically delivered to the correct Practitioner’s Task list, where it can be reviewed, linked, and managed alongside all other operational tasks. This helps maintain an organised Communication workflow, supports accurate record-keeping, and ensures that clinical and administrative follow-up happens without delay. By linking the Referral Letter to a Task, the Practice gains a structured, trackable method to ensure that every Referral Letter is acknowledged, processed, and stored correctly. This improves response times, enhances internal communication, and helps the Practitioner maintain continuity of care while keeping all related information within the GoodX Web environment.
