The Control Types sub-tab is used to define and categorise the methods the Practice uses to monitor, verify, and enforce compliance requirements. While a Standard Section defines what needs to be completed, the Control Type defines how compliance will be checked or maintained. Common examples include Physical Inspections, Monthly Audits, Document Reviews, Chemical Controls, and Automated System Alerts.

Control Types can also be linked to specific Standard Sections, allowing the Practice to structure and standardise compliance procedures across different operational areas. Additional information, such as applicability and notes, can be recorded to provide further guidance on how the Control Type should be used.

By maintaining consistent Control Types throughout the system, the Practice can improve accountability, support compliance monitoring processes, and ensure that safety and quality procedures are performed in a structured and reliable manner.
