Patients Sidebar: Navigation and Use
Why Use This Function:
The Patients sidebar provides quick access to essential Patient communication and account information, streamlining workflow and improving efficiency. From the sidebar, you can contact Patients directly, send Invoices and Statements, view account details, and follow up on outstanding matters. This reduces time spent navigating between screens and ensures fast, accurate interactions.

- Click on the desired Patient.

- The Patient sidebar will now display on the right side of the screen.

SMS Button
This button opens the SMS screen for sending text messages to the Patient and provides a fast, convenient way to send booking confirmations, reminders, or quick updates directly from the sidebar.
- Click on the SMS button.

Email Button
The Email button opens the Email Add/Edit Workflow Event screen, pre-filled with the Patient's email address. You can use this to send an email directly from the system without needing to copy details manually. This is useful for sending reminders, Invoices, Statements, Account Queries, or general communication efficiently.
- Click on the Email button.

Dial Button
The Dial button opens the Call Event screen, where you can log, prepare for, or follow up on a phone call with a Patient or relevant contact. This screen displays available contact numbers, account information, outstanding balances, and provides space for call notes and feedback. While it does not initiate the actual phone call, it acts as a structured workflow for managing telephonic contact.
- Click on the Dial button.

WhatsApp Button
The WhatsApp screen allows you to send a structured, templated WhatsApp message to a Patient or relevant contact directly from the system. This simplifies Patient communication by automating the sending of pre-approved WhatsApp messages for common interactions, like booking confirmations, images or documents. It saves time, ensures consistency, reduces manual typing errors, and provides a professional, traceable communication method.

Patient Information
This section provides a comprehensive overview of the Patient’s personal and administrative details, including their photo for easy identification, date of birth, current age, file number, Debtor number, and ID number. It also includes contact information such as phone number and email address, alongside relevant Medical Aid details to ensure that all necessary information is easily accessible for administrative and clinical purposes.

- An explanation will be given for the information that appears in this section:
- Patient's Name: The Full Name and Surname of the Patient.
- Date of Birth: The date of birth and the current age of the Patient.
- Patient File Number: The File Number of the Patient and the Patient's hard copy File Number.
- Debtors' Information: The Debtor's Number, File Number, as well as the Status of the Debtor responsible for settling the Patient's account.
- ID Number: The Identification Number of the Patient.
- Cellphone Number: The Cellphone Number where the Patient can be reached.
- Email Address: The Patient Email Address.
- Medical Aid Details: The Name, Membership Number and the Plan Name of the Patient's Medical Aid.
