This document outlines the backup, replication, and data retention policies in place to ensure data availability, integrity, and recoverability.

💡Please Note: This is the current process for the 2026 period.

1. Replication and Redundancy
We maintain a high-availability environment through the use of warm standby replication systems:

  • A warm standby replicant is maintained within the same local data centre to ensure rapid failover in the event of system issues.
  • An additional warm standby replicant is maintained in a geographically separate location to provide resilience against regional outages or disasters.

2. Backup and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR)
To support data recovery and minimise potential data loss, we implement a structured snapshot-based backup mechanism:

  • Hourly Snapshots: Snapshots are taken every hour and retained on a rolling basis for 24 hours (24 hourly iterations).
  • Daily Snapshots: A daily snapshot is retained for a period of 7 days.
  • Weekly Snapshots: A weekly snapshot is retained for a period of 12 weeks.

This layered approach enables point-in-time recovery (PITR), allowing restoration of data to specific intervals within the defined retention periods.

3. Data Retention and Deletion Policy
In the event of account cancellation:

  • Clients are offered data extraction options to retrieve their information.
  • Data will be retained for a period of up to 90 days following cancellation.
  • After 90 days, all client data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

4. Policy Compliance
These policies are designed to align with best practices for data protection, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
