Medicine Formularies
formulary is a list of brand-name and generic prescription medication that is approved to be prescribed by a particular health insurance policy, or in a specific health system or hospital. Medicine formularies are developed based on the efficacy, safety and cost thereof








A medicine- These medicines are reimbursed by the medical aids for specific chronic conditions.
- They are usually connected to a certain pricing structure to support access to cost-effective medicines
- Sign in to the GoodX Desktop using your GoodX username and password.
- From the Navigator Double Click on the MedDebs Module
- The Main MedDebs screen will open
- From the Menu bar, click on Lists

- Click on Code Lists from the drop-down menu
- Click on Medicine Formularies from the submenu

- The Formularies screen will open
- You are able to search per medical scheme for the specific formulary by typing in the search field

- The columns that will display are :
- Code: The formulary shortcode for the specific medical aid plan
- Description: Name of the Medical Aid plan
Actions
- From the menu bar, Click on Actions
- From the drop-down list, you will have options to:
- Export Grid
- Print: Prints a list of all the codes that have been loaded on the list this can be the entire list or if a search was done just the codes from the search
- A preview of the list will appear on your screen

- You will have the following options to do with this list :
- Email: Email the list
- Print Preview: Preview how your list will look when you print a hard copy
- Save: Save a digital copy to
- Page Setup: Opens the page setup screen
- Print: Prints to the Set-up printer
- Close: Closes the screen and returns to the Medical Aid Options screen
- Export Grid: Allows you to export the list to an excel spreadsheet
- Give the document a file name, by typing in the text box
- Click on Save to save the document to your computer



- Click on OK, when you are done looking up the specific code to return to the Main MedDebs screen
