Cost Centres

A cost centre is an area within a business where costs can be allocated to.

  • Sign in to the GoodX Desktop using your GoodX username and password.
  • From the Navigator Double Click on the MedDebs Module 


  • The Main MedDebs screen will open

  • From the Menu bar, click on Lists



  • Click on Code Lists from the drop-down menu 
  • Click on Cost Centres from the submenu 

  • You will be directed to the Cost Centres screen 


Search
  • You are able to search for the specific Cost Centre by typing in the search field  


  • The columns that will display are :
    • Code: Cost Centre number 
    • Afrikaans: The Afrikaans Description for the action  
    • English: The English Description for the action 

Actions 
  • From the menu bar, Click on Actions 
  • From the drop-down list, you will have options to: 
    • Print 
    • Export Grid 
  • Print: Prints a list of all the Cost Centres that have been loaded on the list 
    • preview of the list will appear on your screen 


  • You will have the following options to do with this list :
    • Email: Email the list 

    • Print Preview: Preview how your list will look when you print a hard copy 

    • Save: Save a digital copy to 

    • Page Setup: Opens the page setup screen 

    • Print: Prints to the Set-up printer

    • Close: Closes the screen and returns to the Medical Aid Options screen 

  • Export Grid: Allows you to export the list to an excel spreadsheet 
    • Give the document a file name, by typing in the text box  
    • Click on Save to save the document to your computer 



Adding a New Cost Centre    

  • Add a new Cost Centre by clicking on the + button 


  • The Cost Centre screen will appear  
  • Afrikaans Name: An Afrikaans description of the details of the Cost centre 
  • English Name: An English description of the details of the Cost Centre 


  • Click on OK when you are satisfied with the content of the item


  • Click on Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving 

  • You will see the item you have created will appear on the list , a code was automatically assigned to the Cost Centre 


Editing a Cost Centre from the List 
  • Edit a Cost Centre by clicking on the button with a triangle on 


  • The Cost Centres  screen will open where you can edit the content of the item 


  • Click on OK when you are satisfied with the content of the item


  • Click on Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving 


  • Click on OK to when you are done looking up the specific Cost centre to return to the Main MedDebs screen
