Billing to Debt Management (Desktop App)

CPT4 (Current procedural terminology, the 4th edition) codes are procedure codes that are already listed on the system. These codes tell the medical aids which procedure has been done on the patient. Without these codes, Medical aids will not pay out the claims.

• The contents of this User Manual will consist of the following information:
• Actions
• Search 
• Adding a New CPT4 code  
• Editing a CPT4 code from the List  

• Log in to the GoodX Desktop using your GoodX username and password.
• From the Navigator Double Click on the MedDebs Module. 

• The Main MedDebs screen will open.

• Click on Lists on the menubar.

• Click on Code Lists from the drop-down menu. 

Click on CPT4 Codes from the sub-menu. 

• The CPT Codes List screen will open.

Actions 

• Click on Actions from the menubar.
• From the drop-down list, there will be options to: 
• Print 
• Export Grid 

• Print: Prints a list of all the codes that have been loaded on the list.
• A preview of the list will appear on the screen.

• The following options will be available for the list :

• Email PDF: Attaches the report in a .pdf format to the email. 

• Email HTML: Sends the email with an HTML link.  

• Print Preview: Preview how the list will look when a hard copy is printed. 





• Save: Save a digital copy to the computer. 





• Page Setup: Opens the page setup screen. 





• Print: Prints a hard copy to the setup printer.

• Close: Closes the screen and returns to the Current Profile: Balance Sheet screen. 

• Export Grid: This allows the user to export the list to an excel spreadsheet. 

• Give the document a file name, by typing in the text box.

• Click on Save to save the document to the computer.

Search 

• It is possible to Search per Description for the specific CPT4 Code by typing in the Description Field. 
• Code: The CPT4 code for the specific medical procedure.  
• Description: Information on the procedure code.  

Adding a New CPT4 code 

Disclaimer: It is not recommended or advised to add a CPT4 Code, it is suggested that the service provider requests it to be added by contacting either GoodX or Medprax directly as Medprax manages the information.   

• Add a new CPT4 code by clicking on the + button. 

• The CPT Codes screen will open.

• Add a unique Code for the procedure. 

• Give the procedure a description by typing in the Description field. 

• Click on OK when done and satisfied with the new item to save it to the list.

• Click on Cancel to return to the previous CPT Codes screen without saving. 

• The code that has been created will be added to the list. 

Editing a CPT4 code from the List 

Disclaimer: It is not recommended or advised to edit a CPT4 Code, it is suggested that the service provider requests for the codes be added by contacting either GoodX or Medprax directly as Medprax manages the information. 

• Select the item that would like to be edited by clicking on it.

• Edit a CPT4 Code by clicking on the Edit button.

• The CPT Codes screen will open where the content of the item can be edited.

• Click on Cancel to return to the previous CPT Codes screen without saving. 

• Click on OK when done and satisfied with the item that has been edited to save it to the list.

• Click on OK on the CPT Codes screen when done looking up the specific code to return to the Main MedDebs screen.
