Express Booking for New Normal Patient

Normal Express Booking is to make a new booking on the Diary for a new patient. The express booking will automatically create a debtor file.

  • Log in to the GoodX Web App with your username and password
  • From the Diary screen, click once on the New Booking button

  • Or double click on the correct timeslot

  • The Add/Edit Booking screen will appear, complete the correct information


  • Complete the following information:
    • Diary: Ensure that you have the correct diary, this must be the diary of the doctor that the patient wants to see.
    • Type: From the drop-down, you can select the correct appointment type
    • Status: The system will automatically change the appointment as Booked because the patient is standing in front of you.
    • Location: From the drop-down, you have options, because the patient is standing in front of you, it will be set as None.
    • Date: Ensure that you are on the current date.
    • Time: Ensure that you are at the current time.
    • Duration: Set by default 15 min, you are able to change the duration.
    • Treating Doctor: Search for the correct treating doctor.
    • Reason: This is a free text field where you can enter the reason given by the patient for the appointment.
    • Service Centre: From the drop-down, you are able to select the applicable centre.
    • CRM: You can ask the patient how did they hear about your practice and select the applicable answer from the drop-down.
  • Capture the New Patient's Information.
  • It is important that you capture all the patient's details (Full names and surname, date of birth, ID/Passport, Medical Aid and contact number.)
  • Click on the SAVE button to capture the express booking.

TAKE NOTE: The express booking Add/Edit Booking screen will only display and require the Patient Details.


  • The detail of the booking will reflect in the selected time slot.
  • The file will also be opened on the system with all the details that you captured on the booking screen.
