How to Manually Fill in a PDF Printover
Manually filling in a PDF Printover allows you to complete any PDF form by using various field types and style formats. This is particularly useful for filling out forms sent by a Patient that require specific information from you, which can then be sent back to the Patient or used as needed. Using the PDF Printover promotes a paperless Practice.
Please Note: A Custom form will first need to be sent to the Patient, where they have the option to upload a PDF file. After which you can convert the uploaded PDF into a PDF Printover that you can fill in. - This user manual will start on the PDF Printover screen, of the PDF file that the Patient has sent which you will have to complete.
- Navigate to the page/section you are required to fill in.
Quick Actions
Buttons are available that allow you to quickly add fields to the PDF Printover, making it easier to complete the form.Please Note: All added fields can be dragged and dropped to the desired place on the PDF Printover. For more information on how each field type works and more formatting options, please refer to the user manual: PDF Printover Setup.
Text
Adds a Text box to the form that can be used to add text to the desired area of the form.- Click on the Text button.
- A Your Text Here field will be added to the form.
- Click on the Your Text Here field to enter the required information.
- A new Text panel will be added to the PDF Printover with more options for this specific field.
- Click on the Text panel to expand it.

Multiline Text
Adds a text box that spans over multiple lines that you can use for paragraphs.
- Click on the Multiline Text button.
- A Your Text Here field will be added to the form.
- Click on the Your Text Here field to enter the required information.

- A new Multiline Text panel will be added to the PDF Printover with more options for this specific field.
- Click on the panel to expand it.

Image
Adds a field where you are able to upload an Image.- Click on the Image button.
- An Image field will be added to the form.
- Click on the Add button to upload an Image. For more information regarding how to upload an image, please refer to the user manual: How to Upload an Image/Photo.
- A new Image panel will be added to the PDF Printover.
- Click on the panel to expand it, and to access more options for this specific field.

Signature
Adds a field where you are able to upload your digital signature.
- Click on the Signature button.
- A Signature field will be added to the form.
- Click on the Add button to add a Signature. For more information regarding how to add a Signature, please refer to the user manual: How to Add a Doctor Signature.
- A new Signature panel will be added to the PDF Printover.
- Click on the panel to expand it, and to access more options for this specific field.

Checkbox
Allows you to add a field that will tick the relevant checkbox.
- Click on the Checkbox button.
- A Checkbox field will be added to the form.
- Tick the Y checkbox to change the format of the content to an X.
- A new Checkbox panel will be added to the PDF Printover.
- Click on the panel to expand it.

Communication Options
Gives you the ability to send the document back to the Patient.- Click on the Email button.
- The Email Workflow Event screen will open.

myGC
Allows you to send the document back to the Patient with a secure myGC link that they are then able to save on their account for future use, if they have a myGC profile.- Click on the myGC button to send a secure link to the Patient with the completed document.
Print and Download
You are able to Print a hard copy of the form or Download the document to save it on your device.- Click on the Print button to send the document to your printer.
- Click on the drop-up menu on the Print button.
- Click on the Download button to download the document to save it on your device.
