How to Add a Fixed Fee Code to a Case

Adding a Fixed Fee Code to the Hospital Case allows you to charge a pre-determined fee covering all aspects of the Procedure and Hospital stay.

Please Note: Before Cases can be set up for Fixed Fees the setup and linking of the codes first need to be done in the Desktop App for the options to be available within the Web App. For more information regarding how to set up the Fixed Fee/Per Diem Profiles, please refer to the user manual: Fixed Fee Setup.

  • This user manual will start on the Case Management screen.


  • Click on the Case of the Patient for whom you would like to set up the Fixed Fees.


  • The Case sidebar will open.


  • Click on the Case Edit button.


  • The Hospital Case screen will open.


  • Click on the Fixed Fee/Per Diem tab. 


  • The Fixed/Fee Per Diem screen will open. 

  • Click on the Fixed Fee radio button to mark the case as a Fixed Fee case.


  • The Fixed Fee screen will open.


  • Click on the + Fixed Fee Code button to add a Fixed Fee Code to the case.

  • The Add Fixed Fee Setup screen will open. 


    • Click on the Start Date field to Choose a Date from when this Fixed Fee Code is valid, from the Date Picker that opens up. The Date in the Start Date field will automatically be set to today's date.



    • Click on the End Date field to Select the Date until this Fixed Fee Code is valid, from the Date Picker that opens up. 



    • Click on the Select Tariff Code drop-down menu, to select the pre-set-up Fixed Fee Code.


Please Note: Fixed Fees are set up in the Desktop App, for more information regarding the setup, please refer to the user manual: Fixed Fee Setup.

    • The Description field will automatically be filled in once a selection is made. This Description will be pulled through from the code that has been selected.



  • Click on the OK button to add the Fixed Fee Code you selected. 


Please Note: All fields are required to be filled in, an Attention! pop-up will appear to advise, that you have not completed all fields.



  • The selected Fixed Fee Code will now be added to the Case.



Please Note: Only one Fixed Fee Code can be added to each case.

  • Click on the Save button to save all the changes that have been made.
