Navigating Clinical Documents on myGC
Why Use This Function:
Clinical Documents lay the foundations of a Patient's medical records, and consist of medical history, previous diagnosis, treatments given and even if a Patient has been admitted to a Hospital.

Search Clinical Documents
Searching for Clinical Documents allows for easier navigation.
- Click/Tap on the Search Clinical Documents... field to search for a specific document.
Date
The Time and Date of when the Clinical Documents were added, can be adjusted to show the order from ascending to descending and vice versa.
- Click/Tap on the Date button to change the order.
- The direction of the arrow will change indicating that the order of the list has been updated.
Filter
Filters make searches faster and more relevant by narrowing down the results.
- An explanation of each Filter type will be given below:
Sick Note
A Sick Note or Medical Certificate is a written document that verifies that a Patient has consulted with a Healthcare Practitioner.- Click/Tap on the Sick Note filter option.
- The Clinical Documents screen will update to show the selected filter option.
💡Please Note: The selected filter option can be removed by Clicking/Tapping on the selected filter option a second time.
- To view a document, Click/Tap on the panel of the desired Clinical Document.
- The Panel will expand.
- Click/Tap on the Download button to download the Clinical Document.
Script
The Script facilitates the prescription of medication by allowing Practitioners to select generic or favourite items, provide usage directions, and repeat previous prescriptions.- Click/Tap on the Script filter option.
- The Clinical Documents screen will update to show the selected filter option.

- To view a document, Click/Tap on the panel of the desired Clinical Document.

- The Panel will expand.

- Click/Tap on the Download button to download the Clinical Document.
Referral Letter
The Referral Letter is used by the Practitioner to refer the Patient to another Medical Practitioner or Specialist, for additional observations. The Referral Letter can also be referred to as a recommendation letter.
- Click/Tap on the Referral Letter filter option.
- The Clinical Documents screen will update to show the selected filter option.

- To view a document, Click/Tap on the panel of the desired Clinical Document.

- The Panel will expand.

- Click/Tap on the Download button to download the Clinical Document.
Note
Notes consist of pieces of information that relate to and contribute to a Patient's condition. Notes are useful to refer back to when you return for a follow-up or future reference.
- Click/Tap on the Note filter option.
- The Clinical Documents screen will update to show the selected filter option.

- To view a document, Click/Tap on the panel of the desired Clinical Document.

- The Panel will expand.

- Click/Tap on the Download button to download the Clinical Document.
Documents
Patient Documents contain personal information, such as Medical History, Identification number and Medical Aid information.
- Click/Tap on the Documents filter option.
- The Clinical Documents screen will update to show the selected filter option.

- To view a document, Click/Tap on the panel of the desired Clinical Document.

- The Panel will expand.

- Click/Tap on the Download button to download the Clinical Document.
Attachments
External Attachments can be added to the Patient's Clinical Documents.
- Click/Tap on the Attachments filter option.
- The Clinical Documents screen will update to show the selected filter option.

- To view a document, Click/Tap on the panel of the desired Clinical Document.

- The Panel will expand.

- Click/Tap on the Download button to download the Clinical Document.
Additional Options
Additional Options are used to ease the flow of work for the User.
- Click/Tap on the Additional Options button.
- Additional Options will become available.
- Click/Tap on the Download All Documents as ZIP button to download all files into a zip folder.
- Click/Tap on the Attach File button to attach a file.
- Click/Tap on the Add a New Note button to add a new note.
