Stock Movement Per Period (Overview)

The Stock Movement Per Period report summarizes the movement of stock items into columns, resulting in a shorter report that still displays the type of movement on each item. The report can be generated for a single item, a list of items, or all items that have moved during the period. 

The Stock Movement Per Period will be one of the Management reports required by the Practice management each month. This will display all Sales, Purchases, Adjustments, and Transfers that occurred during the fiscal period, along with the quantity and Rand value.

  • Log in to the GoodX Desktop Using your GoodX username and password. 
  • From the Navigator, Double Click on the Stock Module.


  • The Stock Manager screen will open.


  • Click on Reports on the menu bar.


  • Click on the Stock Movement Per Period from the sub-menu.

  • The Choose a Profile screen will open.


Please Note: The Blank and NoName profiles will be loaded by default on the Choose a Profile screen.

    • Select the desired profile to view by clicking on the profile. The Stock Movement Per Period will be used as an example for the user manual. 


      • The profile name will turn blue. 
    • Click on the Print to grid button to continue to open the report.


    • The Timespan for report screen will open.



    • Select the period to be viewed.

      • Click on the Next button to continue.


  • The Stock Movement summary report will open.


Report Options 

  • Additional options will be available for the Stock Movement Per Period report.
    • Mail a view: Enables the user to email the current view of the Stock Movement: summary report to the desired recipients.


    •  Mail all views: Allows the user to email all the tabs that are on the report.

    • Print: Prints the Stock Movement: summary report of the current view to the screen with options available for the printed report. For more information regarding the print options that are available, please refer to the user manual: Options to Print.

    • Export: Exports the Stock Movement: summary report to an Excel spreadsheet. 

    • Exit: Closes the report and returns to the Choose a Profile screen.


  • Click on the Close button on the Choose a Profile screen to return to the main Stock Manager screen.
