Stock Notes Setup
Why Use This Function:
The Stock Notes Setup function is used to activate a dedicated notes field for stock items across your Financial and Billing screens. In a busy Practice, selling or utilising stock involves more than just selecting an item and a price. This feature allows the Practitioner or billing clerk to add custom, real-time context directly alongside a stock item at the exact moment an Invoice is being generated.
It is highly important for the Practice to use this function because it prevents critical item-specific details from being lost or omitted during the billing process. Without this configuration turned on, the Stock Invoice and Billing screens will lack a dedicated space for line-item commentary. This forces staff to either cram important details into generic invoice remarks or leave them out entirely, which can lead to confusion for both Patients and the financial team.

- Click on the Entity Settings tab to open the entity settings.

- Click on the Stock Setup panel.

- The Stock Setup panel will expand with more options.

- Tick the Stock Item checkbox to display a Stock Item Note field on the Stock Invoice and Billing screen.
