AM/PM Billing
AM/PM is used when a Patient needs to be billed for treatments/procedures multiple times on the same day. Using AM/PM Billing helps to ensure that Medical Aids can properly process and pay for these treatments without rejecting duplicate claims. Practices are able to reduce the likelihood of claim rejections, eliminate the need to repeatedly submit claims and save time. AM/PM Billing is typically used by Physiotherapists (072).
AM: After Midnight
PM: Post Midday
Please Note: In order for AM/PM Billing to be used the setting will need to be turned on by a Super User. For more information on turning the setting on, please refer to the user manual: Debtor Transactions.
- Please Note: For the purposes of this user manual the Multiple Invoices screen will be used.
- This user manual will start on the Multiple Invoices screen.

- For a more comprehensive explanation of how to navigate to the Multiple Invoices screen and how the screen works, please refer to the user manual: Multi Invoice Screen.
- The AM/PM feature will appear within the Episode screen when a Debtor is selected for whom the Invoice will be made, once the settings have been turned on.

- Select the appropriate option, between AM/PM/None.
- Enter the time in the From field to indicate the time of the treatment/procedure.
Please Note: The To time field is greyed out as the time is only to indicate when the Patient was seen by the Physiotherapist and does not affect how the billing is done in any way.
Please Note: Times should be entered in a 24-hour format to pull through correctly. If the time is entered without making an AM/PM selection the time will automatically be assigned to AM/PM accordingly.
- Click on the Continue (F2) button to continue with the Invoice.
- Add the Invoice lines of the desired items/treatments/procedures.
- The From Time column on each of the lines will display the time that was entered.
Please Note: A new Invoice will need to be created for each time the Patient is seen on the same day.
- Post, Switch and Save the Invoice as any other Invoice.

- On the Statement, the Description of the Invoice lines will display the information as captured on the Invoice.
