Linking Treating Doctor to Hospital Rounds
Linking a Treating Doctor to Hospital Rounds enables the Practitioner to schedule their Patient's visits via the System. There are two ways a Practitioner can Link a Treating Practitioner to a Hospital Round. Enter the Practitioner's name into the Treating Doctor field on the Hospital Admission screen or choose the Practitioner's demographic data from a list of Treating Doctors that is active on the system. In the majority of situations, a Practitioner would either link himself or a Practitioner who is familiar with the Patient's case.
- There are two methods to link a Treating Doctor to a Hospital Round case:
- Typing Practitioner's Surname in the Treating Doctor field
- Choosing a Practitioner from the Treating Doctors List

Typing Practitioner's Surname in the Treating Doctor field
By typing the Practitioner's Surname into the Search Treating Doctor field the Practitioner can be chosen from the list that becomes available and can then be linked to the Hospital Round case.
- Click on the Treating Doctor field and start typing the surname of the desired Practitioner, one character is required before a suggested list becomes available.
- Select the desired Treating Doctor on the drop-down menu that will become available whilst typing, to link the option to the Hospital Round case. If the Treating Doctor is not found, a new one will need to be created.

Choosing a Practitioner from the Treating Doctors List
A Treating Practitioner can be Linked to a Hospital Round case via the Treating Doctors List.
- Click the Ellipse button next to the Search Treating Doctor field, to access the Treating Doctors list.
- The Filter Doctors screen will open.

- Click on the desired Practitioner to add the Practitioner to the Treating Doctor field on the New Admission screen.
- Click on the Close button to exit the Treating Doctor screen without linking a Treating Doctor to a Hospital Round and return to the New Admissions screen.
- Click the Link to Hospital Round button to link the selected Practitioner to a Hospital Round and exit the Treating Doctor screen.
- The Treating Doctor field will be filled with the linked Practitioner.
