GoodX Manage for Medical

The Master List will show all the Treating Doctors, Referring Doctors, Assisting Doctors, and Staff Doctors for this specific Practice. The list will include the Practitioners Name, Surname, Practice number, BHF Council number, Speciality code, Telephone number, Email address and Medibase Code if the Doctor was imported from Medibase. The information will be used for Medical Aid claims. To ensure that the correct payments are received from Patients and Medical Aids the information needs to be kept up to date at all times.

Medibase prides itself as the largest, most accurate, most complete and most up to date source of healthcare contact information available. The Online Directory is freely available to GoodX clients, for any and all healthcare information needs. The user can Import and Link Doctors from Medibase into GoodX.

• Log in to the GoodX Desktop App with your username and password.
• Double Click on the GoodX Manage Module from the Navigator.

• The GoodX Manage screen will open.

• On the Menubar, click on the Global Lists menu. 

• The Global Lists sub-menu will open. 
• Click on the Lists sub-menu.

• In the Lists sub-menu, click on the Doctors: Master List sub-menu.

• The All Doctors screen will open.

Import/Link Doctor from Medibase

Medibase prides itself as the largest, most accurate, most complete and most up to date source of healthcare contact information available. The Online Directory is freely available to GoodX clients, for any and all healthcare information needs. The user can Import and Link Doctors from Medibase into GoodX.

• Click on the Import from Medibase button to Import and Link the Doctor from Medibase. 

• The Medibase Doctors: Select single screen will open.

• The following information will display on the Medibase screen:

• The Filter field is used to search and filter for the correct Doctor to import and link from Medibase into GoodX.

• Click in the Filter field and type any of the following options to search for the Doctor, Surname, Name, Practice Number, Council Number, Spec. Code, Discipline or Address. The Doctor will filter according to the Search. Please Note that the Filter field is not Case sensitive. 

• The Medibase screen will filter according to what the user Search for example GP.

• Click on the Clear Filter button to clear all the results that were searched for.

• The following information will display for the Doctors on the Medibase screen:
  

• The following columns will now be explained:
• Title: The Title will show the status or profession of the practitioner for example Dr/Prof. 
• Surname: The practitioner's last name. 
• Name: The practitioner's Full name as it is stipulated in their identity documentation.
• Practice Number: The practice number of the practitioner, as registered with the HPCSA and BHF.
• Council Number: The practitioner's registration number from the South African Medical and Dental Council.
• Spec. Code: The Speciality Code is a certain field in which a person decided to specialise in. These individuals had to undergo extensive education to go into these specialities, for example, Nurses, Audiologists, General practitioners etc. Every Speciality will have a unique speciality code.
• Med. Act/Discipline: The Medical Activity/Discipline will display the Speciality of the Doctor. The field the Doctor specialised in.
• Address: The Address is the physical address of where the Practice office is situated - this is where the patients will go for treatment.

• Select the Doctor from the Medibase database to Import and Link into GoodX.

• Click on the OK button to continue and Import the Doctor.

• The All doctors screen will open. The Doctor that the user imported from Medibase will display on the All doctors screen.

• Click on the OK (F2) button to Save the Doctor to the List of Doctors on GoodX.

• When the user opens the Doctors: Master List, the new Doctor that was imported from Medibase will also display on the List of Doctors.

Please Note: When the user imports a Doctor from Medibase that are already saved as a Doctor in GoodX, the system will pop up a Warning message informing the user that the Doctor has already been added using the Practice and Council Number. The system will prevent Duplicate Doctors from being imported from Medibase.

Print of Master List

• Click on the Print button to print the Doctors: Master List. 

• The Specify Columns to Print screen will open. The user can tick or untick the columns they want to Print.

• Click on the Back button to close the Specify Columns to Print screen without Printing the List of Doctors.

• Click on the Next button to continue and Print the List of Doctors.

• The Doctors Master List will open in *pdf format. The user can Print / Email or Download the Doctors Master List from this screen.

• Click on the OK (F2) button to save the changes on the All doctors screen and exit the screen.

• Click on the Cancel button to exit and close the All doctors screen.
