Postpone Appointment

This function will be used when an appointment must be postponed to with a timeslot or a number of timeslots for that day. This will happen when the Practitioner is late, had an emergency in between appointments or an appointment took longer than it was booked for. 

How to Postpone an appointment from the Diary screen:

  • Right-click on the appointment on the Diary.
  • Click on Appointment Options >> select Postpone Appointments.


  • Select the time from when the appointments must be postponed to.
  • Select the duration (Minutes to postpone the appointment with).
  • Click on OK

  • The next System message will reflect in the original time slot in red.
  • All the appointments will postpone with 60 min, in this case as the duration was selected as 60 minutes (you can postpone with the duration of your choice).

  • In this example, the appointment is scheduled for 10:00. The next available appointment will be at 10:20.
  • Right-click in the system message timeslot and select Undo Postpone to cancel the postponement.

  • The appointment will be back on the original timeslot (09:00).
