The appointment type Insurance examination: Walk-In is used to create an insurance examination on an existing patient with an electronic file at the practice but does not have an appointment and walks-in to the practice asking for assistance. The insurance booking allows you to add the insurance form reference number and necessary information the company needs for their documentation.

An insurance examination is an examination that the Insurance companies require when a person applies for life insurance or any company that needs a physical examination on the person's body. 

• Log in to the GoodX Desktop App with your username and password
• Double click on the Diary module

• The Diary screen will appear
• Click once on the correct timeslot

• From the menu bar, select Appointment

• From the sup menu, click on Insurance examination: Walk-In

• The debtor's screen will appear
• Search for the correct debtor

• Click once on the correct debtor
• Click on the Ok button or F2 on your keyboard

• The Reason for appointment screen will appear

• Complete the following information:
• Appointment Description: The description is a free text field, the reason for the appointment should be indicated in the block eg. Insurance Examination for Sanlam Full Benefits
• Service Centre: From the drop-down, you can choose the correct service centre where the patient will be examined
• Appointment Type: From the drop-down, you can select what kind of appointment the patient needs
• Referring Doc: The doctor that referred the patient to the practice for an examination
• Dependants: You can add dependants to the appointment eg. The whole family household should come for an Insurance examination.
• Extend or F3: Enter the number of appointments that you want to extend the booking with.
  

• Click on the OK button or F2 on your keyboard to book the Insurance Examination: Walk-in
• The patient's booking/appointment will appear on the practitioner's Diary
