DA: Case types and Type of Cases
On a Case, there are a "Type of Case" and a "Case Type".
Type of Case:
There are 2 types of cases:
This is important for claiming from the medical aid, and the Tariff codes that are allowed to be billed.
- Normal (In Hospital) - The Patient is admitted into the Hospital.
- Out-Patient - The Patient is not admitted into the hospital, The Out-Patient is normally Casualty Cases.
Case Type:
The Case Type can be set-up according to the needs of the Hospital. Reports can be drawn on the Case Types and can be filtered on. Examples of the Case Types are :
- Pre-Admissions - Patient that have an appointment to be admitted into the Hospital. The case can be created with a future date when the patient must be admitted.
- Medical - Patient that is admitted into the Hospital for a Medical Case.
- Surgical - Patient that must go to the Theatre for a procedure.
- Maternity - Patient that are admitted for Maternity cases.
- The Case Type can be chosen on the Case Information screen. Click on the drop-down box and chose the correct Case Type.
- The Case Type can be changed when the Case information is edited, click on the drop-down and chose the correct Case Type. Click on Save.
- The Case Type will be set-up in GoodX Manage.
