Post Consultation Phase:

For your convenience, we have compiled three checklists to help you on your Telehealth journey.

Telehealth Practice Setup Checklist

The first checklist is a Telehealth Practice Setup Checklist (Appendix B) and contains the following information:

  • Which documentation is required for Telehealth consultations (Consent)
  • Which Processes, Roles & Responsibilities should be designed
  • What type of video conferencing equipment is necessary
  • Which Platform functionality to consider
Practitioner Telehealth Consultation Checklist

The second checklist named the Practitioner Telehealth Consultation checklist (Appendix C) is a checklist to help you prepare for a consultation and contains the following information:

  • Video conferencing communication tips and
  • Physical Assessment Tips

The checklist’s focus is the consultation on the left-hand side. The pre- and post consultation checks are on the right side so that it is accessible in circumstances where reception could not complete the tasks. This checklist can obviously be given to reception as well, and both reception and the practitioner can use the same list for the same patient who made a prior booking. Once reception has marked off the pre-consultation checks, the practitioner can rest assured that all is in place.

Patient Telehealth Consultation Checklist

The third checklist, named the Patient Telehealth consultation checklist (Appendix D), is a document that you can send to patients before their consultation with you to help them prepare appropriately for the consultation and minimise wasted time. It contains the information:

  • Which equipment the patient should have at hand
  • Which kind of environment they should create for the consultation and
  • Which assistance they may need.
